I absolutely love building a space that exudes warmth, acceptance, inclusivity, and curiosity. I’m curious to learn about your unique perspective and how you hope to find self-acceptance. I value inclusivity because every human deserves a non-judgmental zone to process their emotions. I believe that you are the expert on what works best for you; I use a lens free from assumptions about what brings meaning to your life. I bring warmth to therapeutic relationships by developing trust, using humor, and promoting empowerment through strengths-based interventions. 
How does this translate to our interactions in therapy sessions? I aim to understand your lived experience and unique perspective. This is the content that makes you the most you! I find it a complete honor to know the ups, downs, twists, and turns that brought you to where you are today. 
I found my way to this profession later in my career and greatly value the chance to do this work myself. The seasons of greatest personal growth include the experience of being seen, valued, and understood. That’s what I provide through a therapeutic relationship. That is my number one priority before sorting through strategies, collecting tools, or setting goals to bring about change.  
I live and work in the great city of Chicago. I love the neighborhood feel of a city this size; there’s something about having so much energy and diversity in the place where I reside. If I could choose a perfect day, it would include sunshine, biking, laughter, learning, playfulness, puppies, and college basketball.

Thoughts and feelings are observable information, rather than guideposts to determine our actions. Clients will learn tools to integrate mindfulness into daily life.

Through therapeutic work, Katie’s goal is to empower clients to make behavioral changes that put them in balance with their core values.
